I must admit, this is not the first time I was published but this was the first time my digital artwork was published and somehow it does feel like a really first time.

The magazine is called Please See Me is an online literary journal that features health-related stories in the form of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and digital media, including photography, podcasts, and short films. Their mission is to elevate the voices and stories of vulnerable populations, and those who care for them. At the heart of the publication is the cultivation of meaningful patient–provider partnerships in the spirit of wellness.

And to me this artwork is very important and meaningful. Not only because creativity is a big part of my work, but especially because it’s of a woman I admire greatly and who allowed me to draw here - Indrė Kručaitė (picture taken by Monika Markeviciute). "I found that drawing Indre really gave me more insight into the details, the soft approach, and the strength that is so powerful and sometimes unseen. I find it so important to approach difficult subjects with creativity, love, and kindness."
